Suzanne Starr Smith is a genuinely beautiful actress that brings truth, empathy, vulnerability, and precision to every performance.  Her vibrant energy, charisma, and commitment to making captivating choices are highly desirable qualities as an actress for casting directors, production, and audiences alike.  Smith's performances have been captured in films and television programs airing on multiple networks and streaming platforms including I Love You America, America’s Court, Last Dance, and Over The Rainbow.  Presently, she is represented by Baldwin Talent Agency for Commercial & Print.  Smith has been a proud member of SAG-AFTRA since 2016.   

 

Training & Education:

Suzanne is a thoroughly trained actress who has studied multiple acting methods including Meisner, Stanislavsky, acting for theater, and improv.  Most recently Suzanne has completed Levels 1 & 2 in Improv at UCB Hollywood and will continue in the program to Level 3 Improv in 2023.  As of 2020 Smith is an Alumni of the UCLA for Acting For Film & Television, and completed her program with distinguished performances and high marks.  From 2012-2014, she trained in Meisner & Stanislavsky acting methods while attending the Truth Be Told Acting Collective, coached by Actor/Director Bo Jesse Christopher.

Fashion week and competed to be Miss California USA, representing Marina Del Rey in past endeavors.

Career Background: 
Prior to her career pursuit as an Actress and Producer, Suzanne trained, performed, and taught dance lessons as a dancer in the genres of jazz, hip hop, modern, tap, ballet, and contemporary for many years.  Some of the facilities she has trained at in dance include The Edge Performing Arts Center, Millennium Dance Complex, and Cleo Parker Robinson Dance.  During her school years she was a member of the school choir and was in the Community College of Denver Choir while taking general studies there.  Suzanne enjoys performing musical theater, and performed in plays including the Coney Island of Dr. Moreau, The Odyssey, and West Side Story in her youth.   While building her career and skills as an actress Suzanne has worked as a professional double, stand in, and as a production assistant for Paramount, CBS, FOX, along with other networks and studios on over 100 film and television productions.  This background of variety in the entertainment arts contributes to Suzanne's agility and range to provide thrilling performances many genres.   Suzanne currently is the official Ambassador of the online skincare retailer Derm Planet.  As a Master Esthetician + Licensed Cosmetologist Suzanne is the proud owner of Starshine Spa located in Brentwood Village Los Angeles.   Suzanne has professionally represented brands including Monster Energy Drink, IKON Pass, Volkswagen, Ru Paul's Drag Race, Groove Automotive, & VISA as an ambassador and/or model at Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Denver Convention Centers and events throughout the L.A. area.  

 

Over The Rainbow, is a comedic feature film that Smith starred in, wrote, directed, and produced that was completed in 2018 as her first independently produced film.  The film stars many talented performers, including an Emmy Award winning actress.  The film is presently yet to be distributed.

Suzanne is a native of Denver, Colorado, and has been residing in Los Angeles, California since 2011.  During spare time she enjoys spending time at the beach, snowboarding, camping, adventuring to hot springs, spending time with her significant other, and dog and cat she adopted during the pandemic.
